September 12,2024 in Chico, California - Forever A Queen founder Lora Shipley, alongside host sponsors Marc and Shuree of Lion's Den Gym and NutriShop, are thrilled to announce the inaugural Miss and Miss Teen Chico Pageant. This event will showcase the exceptional young women, poise, and beauty that our community has to offer. The winners will not only stand for Chico at the state-level Miss California USA competition but bring home thousands of dollars' worth of prizes. Registration is now open for young women aged 14-18 in the Teen division and 19-28 in the Miss division to embark on this incredible journey.

The pageant, was set to take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the beautiful Gold Dome - home to Neighborhood Church, but has changed to Chico Theatre Company. It will be a celebration. Pageants often reinforce outdated stereotypes and a narrow definition of beauty. The Miss Teen and Miss Chico Pageant aims to redefine this, with an emphasis on wholesome, iconic, and elegant qualities. The pageant will feature a variety of competitive events, including evening gown, fitness wear, and off-stage interviews in front of a panel of judges. Through the Forever A Queen Academy, the aim is to help these young women develop and grow on their journey to becoming empowered women, whether they win or not. This opportunity will allow them to embrace their individuality, highlight their values, poise, grace, confidence, and develop their leadership skills, becoming positive role models within the community. It will be a transformative experience, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need to pursue their dreams and become the next generation of female trailblazers.

The program will also provide skilled individuals to guide the participants throughout their process. Executive Sponsors Marc and Shuree, along with Dallas and Austin Stahl, will lend their expertise in health and wellness, focusing on a holistic approach, nutrition, mental and physical well-being, and self-defense. Janice Keene, the etiquette instructor, will work to refine the young women's social skills, grace, and poise. Lawna Dunbar, an award-winning specialist in walking and posing, will work closely with the contestants. While the speakers and coaches come from diverse backgrounds; they all share a core mission: to empower the next generation of young women to live their best, most authentic lives.

As the founder of Forever A Queen, Lora Shipley's mission is to support these young women in pushing their limits and unleashing their full potential. This inaugural event promises to be a memorable and inspiring experience for both the participants and the entire Chico community. The Forever A Queen team, led by Lora Shipley, the founder and pageant director who was once a contestant for Miss California USA and personally underwent the transformative experience, is working hard to ensure that the event is a true celebration of womanhood.
